I want to here from someone that follows Katy, what do we expect, more winning I'm sure? Katy is going to be pretty darn good again. Just ask their fans, they'll tell you.

Katy is going to be interesting. Last year looked to be a break out year but our best OL and starting RB went down in the first game. Not a good thing to start the year out with. After some mixing and matching they settled on a freshman WR who was a standout Junior High RB. Adam comes back far bigger and stronger than his sensational sophomore year and all reports indicate, get this, FASTER Rodney is coming back 20 lbs heavier and a couple of speed training days under his belt. Between those 2, a very solid OL with our best man back, and a typical Coach J defense... Not a whole lot to say.

Hard to say. I think the return of AT and Sowel are great. Rodney will have another year of growth and there appeared to be some good size with the O and D line. I was a little surprised at the number of players I hadn't heard of at the Red and White game but, if they step up, could make this a really good team. Three years ago I would have been pumped right now but with time I have learned to adapt a wait and see attitude. I think the Woodlands game will tell us a lot.

Having said that I think they take district and make it to Regionals in the playoffs...which by Katy standards falls just a little short. I will say this, if the RB's stay healthy Katy will be a load for anyone. While AT and RA will probably be the premier running backs there are two or three others right behind them that look ready to step in. One in paticular was hitting the hole with a lot of conviction and picking up good yardage on every play. Will have to see how the defensive secondary shapes up.

The usual suspect will be Cinco Ranch. I would love to see Seven Lakes, Taylor and the others get into the mix but I haven't heard anything to make me feel that will happen. I'm interested to see how Seven Lakes does this year with a new coach.

I hope Katy has an awsome year, the thought of someone saying that they are fading.

Yeah, I'll believe it when I see it. Katy will be strong as long as Coach Joseph is there, maybe longer.

25-2 the last two seasons so its hard to say Katy will "SURPRISE" anyone. I think they will surprise their fans though. As noted, you have 3 backs that could start on any other team: Adam Taylor, how makes Donovonn Young look like a small scat back, Rodney Anderson, and Ricky Bickham who quietly averaged 8 yards per carry with 600 yards. Fulks who is now commited to Baylor for Track & Football at WR, and a transfer from Madisonville will play WR...being hearing good things about him...Aaron Sowell back at OL is huge, but the secret will be 6'5 240lb Jr TE with great hands and speed.......the key on offense will be the QB...but for the first few weeks, all he has to do is hand it off.
Defensively....almost everyone returns from a Defense that gave up only 97 points in 13 games last season

They forget the lengthy history of always (almost always) making it to the quarter-finals. Katy's defense will be awesome!

The great thing about Katy and Trinity is that their systems are pretty easy to replace. Some players are once in a blue moon types but a solid athlete will yield consistent results in their heavy run approach. Don't need all world speed if you're busy trying to cram the ball down their throat

I got jumped on by spread fans.

I got jumped on by spread fans. I have a preference for a more balanced attack myself. I've see it happen where one or the other type of offense fail to develop players properly. A run team fails to develop the QB/WR for example. With a more balanced attacked, you may lean toward run or pass more, but you have the ability to do both, yet not as good at running as a running team and not as good at passing as a pure passing team.
